The MARJCC is a beneficiary of The Children’s Trust, providing financial assistance to qualifying campers in grades Kindergarten through [entering] Sixth. Qualifying campers, including those with special needs, will receive an 8-week summer experience at a discounted price.

Registrants must commit to the full 8-week summer camp program and reside in Miami-Dade County.


Qualifying families who wish to apply for tuition assistance must apply online by May 31, 2022. Limited funds are available and applicable only for Camp Sol Taplin’s variety camps.

  • A minimum four-week commitment is required.
  • Scholarship requests will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Scholarship dollars are based upon regular camp fees.
  • NO additional discounts apply.
  • All inquiries and tuition assistance applications are confidential.

Earlier today, there was a shooting at the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center with one fatality. Miami-Dade Police have confirmed it is being investigated as a domestic issue. The suspected gunman has been arrested, and police have indicated there is no known threat to the Jewish community.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers go out to the victim’s family.

Thankfully, years of drills and numerous safety protocols ensured the safety of our members, staff, and community.

The Michael-Ann Russell JCC is grateful to the Miami-Dade Police Department and all first responders who responded so quickly.

The MARJCC will resume normal operations tomorrow, April 4, 2022. However, as previously communicated, there are no group exercise classes or adult enrichment classes until 3:30 p.m. due to a previously scheduled conference.

We would want to remind everyone that each of us must adhere to the established protocols to minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19.  We love seeing you at the J, but please stay home and monitor symptoms for 14 days:

  • if you are experiencing any symptoms related to COVID-19, or
  • if you have come into direct contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or
  • if anyone in your household is experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, or
  • if anyone in your household has come into direct contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19
