Extreme Adventure Camp on the Road

Week 5

Extreme Adventure camp offers campers the amazing opportunity to visit exciting destinations and meet campers from Mexico and San Diego, California. 

 

This one-week camp includes:

  • Two days in Los Angeles, including a tour of the Santa Monica Pier, Hollywood Walk of Fame, a Graffiti Tour, and more!
  • Six days in San Diego, including a tour of downtown, La Jolla Cove, and Seaport Village
  • Participation in activities at Ken Jewish Community Day Camp
  • Round-trip Flight
  • Bilingual Program (Spanish and English)
  • Camp group includes campers from San Diego and Mexico

Extreme Adventure Camp

Week 6-8

Extreme Adventure camp offers teens the opportunity to grow their self-confidence and self-esteem through leadership training, outdoor activities, boot camp, water activities and more.
 
  • Daily outdoor field trips
  • Kayaking, fishing, water parks, rope courses, and more.







ART EXPLORATION CAMP

Grades K–6

Weekly option available.

Weeks 1, 2, 5, and 6.

Our art camps combine learning and fun under the guidance of experienced and creative artists. This camp teaches a variety of new techniques, including drawing, painting, and sculpting.

 

  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • A wide array of projects are created each week, including ceramics, sculpture, printmaking/silkscreen, and digital art.
  • An art exhibition is held every Friday in the MARJCC Solomon Family Lobby.
  • Artists of all skill levels are encouraged to register.
 

 

M&M PERFORMING ARTS CAMP

Four-week commitment required.

 

 

What is summer camp without some drama? In our M&M Performing Arts camp, led by Martin Sipicki, campers learn what it is like to put on a show in just a few weeks.

 

Through improv and theatrical exercises, theatre games, singing, stage movement, acting, body percussion, and dance, campers learn all the skills needed to audition, interview, and rehearse lines with friends.

 

  • Enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • Camp culminates with a performance at the end of Weeks 4 and 8 for parents and other campers to enjoy!
  • Campers perform in the state-of-the-art Alan & Diane Lieberman Theater.

EXTREME T’NUAH

Grades 5–6

Minimum of two consecutive weeks required.

Weeks 1–2 & 3–4

Our dance camp offers specialized programs that promote learning new dance skills under the guidance of trained professionals in a safe and supportive environment.



  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • This camp offers an advanced dance program with intensive training.
  • This camp culminates with a performance at the end of Week 4 for parents and other campers to enjoy!

Trip to Chicago, IL • June 20-24, 2022

 

This exciting trip includes visits to incredible destinations, including Six Flags Great America, Millenium Park, the Shedd Aquarium, and unforgettable dance workshops at Giordano’s Dance Studio, created by Jazz legendary Gus Giordano.

BASKETBALL CAMP

Grades 1–7

Weekly option available.

 

This camp offers skills and technique development for boys and girls and a better understanding of the components of basketball. Trained professionals and coaches provide instruction.  

  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • This camp features skills development, competitive scrimmages, and games.
  • Campers are trained by our USA Youth Basketball and Jr. NBA-certified coaches
  • Campers are grouped by grade and skill level.
 




MADLI-TEEN

Grades 6–8

Weekly option available.

 

Our variety camps offer recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, music, dance, Judaic programming, and special events.

  • Campers might participate in activities that enhance their literacy skills.
  • Campers attend a wide variety of special activities that improve their social skills.





FLAG FOOTBALL

Grades 1–7

Weekly option available.

Weeks 2, 3, 7, and 8.

This camp offers skills and technique development for boys and girls and a better understanding of the components of football. Trained professionals and coaches provide instruction.

 

  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • This camp features skills development for beginners and advanced, innovative drills, speed and agility training, and competitive scrimmage practice.
  • Camp is taught by trained by our USA Flag Football–certified coaches.
  • Campers are grouped grade and skill level.

SOCCER CAMP

Grades K–6

Weekly option available.

This camp offers skills and technique development for boys and girls and a better understanding of the components of soccer. Trained professionals and coaches provide instruction.

  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • This camp features skills development, innovative drills, and a unique approach to the sport.
  • Futsal (indoor soccer) and Beach Soccer included.
  • Camp is taught by USSF-licensed coaches and former soccer professionals.
  • Campers are grouped by grade and skill level.


TENNIS ACADEMY

Grades 1–8

Weekly option available.

Our tennis camp offers skills and technique development for boys and girls and a better understanding of the components of the game of tennis. Trained professionals and coaches provide instruction.  
  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • This camp is a combination of tennis skills for all levels, match play, and fitness. Campers learn sportsmanship and game etiquette.
  • Campers are grouped by grade and skill level.




SwimRight Athletics Intensive

Grades 3–8

Minimum of three consecutive weeks required

(Week 1-3, Week 5–7)

This camp focuses on helping campers enhance their physical health and athletic skills. Based on each camper’s fitness evaluation, our team of sports and wellness experts creates challenging and fun individualized programs that enable campers to take their physical skills to a whole new level!  


  • A team of wellness professionals supervises Sports-related activities, including swimming.
  • A results-driven sports environment focuses on enhancing endurance, flexibility, coordination, agility, and strength over three weeks.
  • The program includes customized diet and fitness recommendations.
  • Campers learn to work in teams, experience new sports-related activities, and play games.
  • Field trip once a week.
 

SwimRight AQUA+

Grades 3–8

Minimum of three consecutive weeks required 

(Week 1–3, Week 5–7) 

SwimRight’s Aqua+ Camp is the most advanced swimming camp, featuring SwimRight’s progressive and successful Learn-To-Swim Method, developed by 4-time Olympic Champion Lenny Krayzelburg. Our team of swimming professionals enhances camper’s swimming skills in an intensive, engaging, and fun training environment.

 

  • A focus on swim training, stroke development, endurance, and dryland training.
  • The daily curriculum includes aquatic-related games and activities and water-related field trips.
  • Foster connections by providing a safe, comfortable environment to have fun, develop athletic skills, set goals, and make new friends.
  • Field trip once a week.

*Campers must be proficient swimmers and able to swim for 1.5 hours each day

COMPETITIVE GYMNASTICS TEAM

Grades 1–11

Weekly option available.

Our competitive gymnastics camp offers your athlete a variety of training opportunities by our experienced high-level team coaches in preparation for the upcoming season.

 

  • Campers enjoy general activities, including recreational swimming, various sports, arts and crafts, and special events.
  • Campers experience conditioning/agility training, plyometrics, dance and choreography—all the components needed to enhance athleticism.
  • This camp is designed for campers enrolled in Pre-Team or Team during the school year.

OMETZ I Special Needs Camp

Ages 14 and up

Two-week required—not consecutive.

Weeks 2–8.

Our Special Needs camp provides a warm, caring environment conducive to fostering friendships for campers with special needs. Campers will enjoy Camp Sol Taplin’s fun-filled activities, including recreational swimming, music, arts and crafts, various sports, and weekly field trips.
  • Small group setting with low staff: camper ratio
  • Social skills development
  • Interview with Ometz Director required prior to registration



KOACH I Special Needs Camp

Entering Grades K–8

Four-week commitment required.

Weeks 1–4 and Weeks 5–8.

Our Special Needs camps provide an educational, creative, socially, and emotionally safe environment for campers with special needs.

  • Eligible campers are mainstreamed into our variety camps and participate in the same activities while “buddied” with a shadow counselor.
  • An intake application and a personal interview prior to acceptance are required.
  • Sibling discounts are not available.

MADATZIM CIT

Grade 9–10

Four-week commitment required.

Weeks 1–4 and Weeks 5–8.

  • Participants enjoy daily leadership training, life skills, mindfulness, yoga, team building, and sports.
  • This program instills leadership and management skills through on-the-job training offering various camps and weekly skills sessions with trained professionals.
 



MADATZIM LIT

Grade 8

Four-week commitment required.

Weeks 1–4 and Weeks 5–8.

  • Participants experience leadership training daily.
  • This program instills leadership and supervision skills through on-the-job training within various camps and weekly skills sessions with trained professionals.

Before and After Care Program

Minimum Age is 4

This optional extended day program is available before and after regular camp hours at an additional fee. Before Care includes outdoor play and quiet games. After Care may include athletics, movies, board games, and arts and crafts.

 

Before Care Program         

Monday through Friday      7:30 a.m.–8:45 a.m.

 

After Care Program            

Monday–Thursday             4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m.

Friday                                   4:00 p.m.–5:30 p.m.

 

A late fee of $1 per minute will be charged after 6:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and after 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
