Back by popular demand, the phenomenal 11-piece Brazilian big band, Gafieira Rio Miami, returns to Jazz at the J with lively samba percussion, a swinging horn section, and the stunning voice of Isa Duarte. Blending samba, jazz, and soul, they draw inspiration from Rio de Janeiro’s 20th-century ballroom dance music, “samba de gafieira.”
