Program Director

Education
Dror was graduated from Bar Ilan University, Israel, with a Master’s degree in Social Psychology and a Bachelor degree in Sociology & Anthropology, History of the Middle East and Jewish Studies.

About Dror
Dror came to the Michael-Ann Russell Jewish Community Center ten years ago from Israel as the Community Shaliach, Director of the Israel Program Center. He returned to the MAR-JCC in 2014 as its Children, Youth and Family Program Director. Dror oversees Camp Sol Taplin, as well as the MAR-JCC’s Early Childhood Development, After School Program (ASP), and Hebraica programs.

Dror lives in Aventura with his wife Sigal and four children.

Jonathan “Dorf” Dorfberger,
Camp Director


Education
Dorf holds a MS in Camp Administration & Leadership from Touro University, NV, as well as a BA in Psychology and Sports & Recreation Management from Ashford University in Iowa.

About Dorf
Dorf comes to Camp Sol Taplin with more than a dozen years of professional experience in the field as past Director of Athletics at Camp Tel Yehudah, NY; Director of Activities at Camp Livingston, IN and Camp Director of Camp Shalom, IA. He has also taught Elementary Physical Education.

Dorf lives in Hollywood with his wife, Jennifer and their two daughters. In his free time, Dorf is a rabid sports fan and spends a lot of his free time following and rooting for the Dolphins, Heat, UM and the Marlins.

He is fluent in Hebrew.
